A tragic incident occurred at a seaside fairground resulting in the death of a man who suffered head injuries. According to Northumbria Police, the man in his 20s was involved in a workplace accident at Spanish City in Whitley Bay. The authorities were alerted to the situation just before 14:15 BST.
Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries shortly after the accident. The Health and Safety Executive is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
