Pembrokeshire's Thorne Island fortress turned into £3m party space

A former software company CEO, Mike Conner, took on a remarkable project to bring life back to a derelict 19th-century Napoleonic fort situated on Thorne Island near Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire. Purchased for £555,000 in May 2017, the fort had been empty for 17 years and required extensive renovations before it was habitable again. The property, which previously hosted parties under a different owner, now boasts 40 beds, four en-suite bathrooms, and even its own nightclub, a significant transformation from its earlier state of having no running water. With the renovations completed, the historic building is now listed on the market for £3 million.
