The joint venture company, led by Urban Splash and igloo Regeneration, has been chosen after a rigorous procurement process launched last Autumn. These two renowned companies have joined forces to work on an innovative and sustainable housing scheme for the iconic riverside site.
Urban Splash, established in Liverpool in 1993, is known for its exceptional work in creating high-quality homes and workspaces in Liverpool and beyond. igloo Regeneration, a national sustainable developer, has led the way in delivering transformative waterside schemes across the UK. Together, they aim to bring their expertise to the Festival Gardens project to create a vibrant new community.
The development project, supported by Homes England and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, is one of the largest brownfield developments in northern England. Situated just three miles south of Liverpool city center, the site offers a picturesque waterfront location with green and blue infrastructure. The project will focus on providing a range of housing types and tenures, including over 20% affordable housing, to cater to diverse needs within the community.
