Love Island 2025 winners revealed after drama-filled series

The latest season of Love Island on ITV2 has come to a close with Toni Laites and Cach Mercer emerging as the winners. Presenter Maya Jama revealed the duo as the champions during the live final on Monday, much to the delight of fans. They not only walked away with the title but also bagged a £50,000 prize, beating out second-placed finalists Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley.

Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes secured the third spot, while Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood finished in fourth place. The victory for Toni Laites is particularly significant as she became the first American contestant to participate in Love Island UK this season. Expressing her gratitude to the UK audience, she celebrated the win with her partner Cach Mercer.

Unfortunately, Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore missed out on a spot in the final after a dramatic elimination during Sunday’s episode. The former Islanders who returned to the villa had deemed them the least compatible couple, leading to their exit. The success of the US version of Love Island and increased social media interest have contributed to the rise in popularity of the show this year.

ITV reported that this series has been on track to be the biggest since Series 9 back in January 2023. Streaming on the subscription service ITVX saw a 9% increase year on year, and over 1 million people have followed Love Island’s official account on TikTok this year. Additionally, it was announced earlier on Monday that Love Island All Stars will return for a third series early next year, set to take place over six weeks in South Africa
