Moving to university together was not the initial plan for the Orgill triplets, but it turned out to be an experience that brought them closer than ever. Rose, Maudie, and Grace, aged 21, from Gloucestershire, all ended up graduating from Cardiff University after each falling in love with the institution during an open day. Despite their initial hopes of going their separate ways for studies, they found themselves placed in the same flat, creating a “home from home” experience.
During their time at university, Rose earned a BSc in chemistry, Maudie completed a BA in history, and Grace obtained a BSc in biomedical sciences. The sisters had originally planned to split up for their studies, but the allure of Cardiff University brought them back together. They had assumed that the university was big enough that they wouldn’t constantly run into each other.
Assigned to the same six-person flat, the sisters found themselves in close proximity, creating a familial atmosphere akin to home. Grace mentioned that their rooms at university were actually closer than at their own home, allowing them to expand their circle of friends threefold. During their graduation ceremony, the triplets wore ribbons and forget-me-not flowers on their gowns in memory of their late grandfather.
As they move on from university, Grace contemplates joining the RAF, Rose considers working abroad, and Maudie is thinking about a return to Cardiff for further studies in law. Their father, Phil Orgill, expressed excitement about their futures and the possibility of all three sisters ending up working in the same city.
