Jeremy Corbyn, former Labour Party leader and current Independent MP, has officially announced the launch of a new political party. Teaming up with Zarah Sultana, who recently left Labour to become an independent, Corbyn stated, “It’s time for a new kind of political party – one that belongs to you.” The duo is urging individuals to join them in creating “a real, democratic alternative rooted in communities throughout the country.”

Former Labour figures, including John McDonnell, have not officially joined the venture, leaving room for speculation regarding future affiliations within the group
