A tragic incident took place in a shop in Bootle, Merseyside, resulting in the death of 44-year-old shopkeeper Nilani Nimalarajah. Nilani was found with stab wounds at Low Cost Food and Wine on Stanley Road and later passed away in the hospital. The suspect, identified as Nimalarajah Mathiyadaranam, a 47-year-old from Widnes, Cheshire, has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon in a public place. Merseyside Police confirmed the charges and stated that the accused was remanded in custody pending his appearance at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court.
