Rail services have been disrupted due to tracks being damaged in the hot weather, impacting fans traveling to a Stereophonics concert in Cardiff. Transport for Wales (TfW) issued an apology and stated that services between Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, and Aberdare were affected, requiring infrastructure teams to work on restoring the line. The extreme temperatures have caused disruptions beyond transportation, as evidenced by packed beaches like the one in Aberdyfi, Gwynedd, on Saturday. Participants were safely guided off the mountain by event staff and mountain leaders, prioritizing their well-being in the challenging conditions
