Fans of Ozzy Osbourne were thrilled after paying £666 for the opportunity to meet the rock star. The meet and greet took place at Comic Con Midlands, where Ozzy was joined by his family – Sharon, Jack, and Kelly. For the price of £666, guests got the chance to meet the Osbourne family, take a photo with them, and get autographs. While some may find the cost extravagant, fans described the experience as “once in a lifetime” and were overjoyed after their encounter.
One excited fan, Christy Willison, who had been a Black Sabbath fan for over 30 years, expressed her emotions after finally getting to meet Ozzy in person. She recounted how she had seen Ozzy live multiple times but never had the chance to meet him until now. Another fan, Danielle Coulter, traveled all the way from Indiana in the US to meet Ozzy, describing him as the “metal godfather” who blessed them with his music. She was thrilled to be in Birmingham, the home of Black Sabbath, and deemed the whole experience as worth her first ever overseas trip.
Despite the high cost of the meet and greet tickets, some fans were willing to pay even more for additional items to be autographed by the Osbournes. Prices ranged from £375 for an autograph on an album or toy to £750 for a signature on a microphone or guitar. Strict rules were enforced during the event, with the Osbournes positioned behind a black curtain and only visible to those who had paid for the privilege. For fans unable to attend, Comic Con Midlands offered the option to pre-order photos and autographs.
After their encounters with the Osbourne family, fans like Andy Coleman left the event feeling ecstatic. He described the experience as “surreal” and cherished the brief moment he spent with the family. Coleman was all smiles as he left the photo opportunity, expressing his gratitude for the chance to meet Ozzy. The event allowed him to fulfill a dream he never thought possible and he planned to frame the photo from the meet and greet in his office as a lasting memory of the surreal experience
