The city of Glasgow is currently hosting the TRNSMT music festival amidst a weekend-long heatwave. With up to 50,000 people expected each day, Scotland’s largest festival is taking place at Glasgow Green over three days. The temperature reached 27C on the first day of the festival, with even higher temperatures forecasted for the rest of the weekend.

The festival staff at TRNSMT are providing sun cream to attendees as they enjoy the music and activities. Opening the festival on Friday was Calum Bowie from Banchory, setting the stage for a lineup of talented acts. Organizers are reminding fans to stay cool and hydrated to beat the heat throughout the weekend. Rhian Teasdale of Wet Leg entertained the crowd and energized them through the Friday heat on the main stage.

Among the early acts on day one was English singer-songwriter Jamie Webster, delivering a memorable performance to the audience. Hometown favorites Twin Atlantic rocked the stage on Friday, captivating the crowds with their music. As TRNSMT continues to evolve into an annual event at Glasgow Green, it attracts a diverse range of performers and fans.
