Angela Rayner, the deputy prime minister, has been suspended from her membership in Unite, a union embroiled in a heated dispute over ongoing bin strikes in Birmingham. Rayner previously urged the union to consider a deal proposed by the council to resolve the strikes, emphasizing the concessions made by the local authority to meet the workers’ demands.
