As founding members of the UN and Nato, their support is crucial to international law enforcement, conflict resolution and stability.
Macron observed to journalists on his latest visit that the European Union and its allies couldn’t care less about form, place and protocol. Instead what mattered was that the UK and France are seen to be making “common sense” decisions, and they are bound together in security, in diplomacy and culture.
