Council announces community-led changes to Everton stadium parking scheme

Liverpool City Council has recently made adjustments to parking regulations in preparation for the final test match at Everton FC’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium in Bramley Moore Dock.

The new car parking rules were influenced by input from residents and local businesses near Everton Football Club’s new stadium. These regulations will impact matchdays, events, and non-match/event days.

Liverpool City Council has updated the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) around the Hill Dickinson Stadium after considering feedback from surrounding communities and fans. The scheme, which extends within a 30-minute walking distance from the stadium, was initially implemented for the first two test events in February and March and later paused for an extensive review by the Council’s Highways and Transportation team.

The revised regulations will be enforced starting Monday, 4 August, in time for the final test match on Saturday, 9 August, just before the commencement of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Key changes resulting from consultation sessions include the introduction of non-event-day parking restrictions in industrial zones, extension of waiting limits on non-event days from one hour to four hours, additional parking bays to support local businesses and community venues, and the provision of new blue badge parking bays on Regent Road
