During a trial at Sheffield Crown Court, it was revealed that a group of students at All Saints Catholic High School locked themselves in a cupboard and barricaded the door after a girl screamed that “someone’s been stabbed”. The witness initially thought their interaction was a joke, but things escalated when they squared up to each other later in the morning.
The same witness also detailed how the accused often carried weapons, including a small axe and various knives. Another recorded interview revealed a girl’s account of the stabbing, where she saw the defendant stab Harvey twice after a heated exchange. The girl described Harvey being covered in blood and in shock as she tried to find help, but encountered a frozen teacher and chaos throughout the school.

Prosecutors shared details of a dispute that required staff intervention, with the defendant allegedly fueling the lockdown claim by stating that another student had a knife. Despite police searches finding no weapon, the defendant’s actions led to a chaotic and unsettling atmosphere within the school
