Ibrahima Seck stabbing: Three boys charged with New Moston murder

In a tragic incident in Greater Manchester, a 14-year-old boy named Ibrahima Seck lost his life after being stabbed near a pub. The attack occurred outside the Fairway Inn in New Moston at approximately 17:00 BST on a Sunday. Following the incident, the teenager succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Three teenagers, two aged 14 and one aged 16, have been charged with the murder of Ibrahima Seck as well as with possessing a bladed article, according to a statement from Greater Manchester Police (GMP). The accused individuals are set to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court for further legal proceedings. Due to their young age, the identities of the teenagers have not been disclosed for legal reasons.

Det Ch Insp Tony Platten, from GMP’s major incident team, highlighted the extensive police efforts carried out over the past 48 hours in order to provide answers to Ibrahima’s family. The investigators are committed to continuing their work on the case as the legal procedures move forward. The family of the deceased teenager have been assured that they will be kept informed and supported throughout the investigation process.

Upon Ibrahima’s tragic passing, his parents described him as a beloved young boy who possessed a kind and hard-working nature. Following the stabbing, the victim ran to seek help at a residence on Nevin Road nearby. Authorities are appealing for any potential witnesses or individuals with relevant footage, such as doorbell or dashcam recordings, to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation
