Officer's injuries in Stoke Poges crash no longer life-threatening

PC Christopher Miller, a police officer who was critically injured in a crash while on duty, has seen an improvement in his condition while in the hospital, confirmed by Thames Valley Police. The incident took place on the B416 Bells Hill in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, on 22 May, and PC Miller is no longer in a life-threatening state. The collision involved PC Miller and a white BMW vehicle which failed to stop at the scene, occurring around 22:22 BST on 22 May on the B416 Bells Hill. Following the incident, a total of five people have been arrested in connection with the crash. One of the individuals, Simranjit Kajla, aged 28 and residing in Lydford Avenue in Slough, has been charged with a range of offenses including attempted murder, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and operating a motor vehicle on a road without insurance. Mr. Kajla is expected to appear at Reading Crown Court on 23 June.

Additionally, a 29-year-old man from Slough was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice and has been granted bail until 15 August. Another arrest was made involving a 38-year-old man from Slough on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, who has also been released on bail. A man and a woman, both from Slough, were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. The woman, aged 37, was released on bail, while the 43-year-old man was released under investigation.
