Isle of Man TT: Sunday's racing moved to allow for qualifying

The Isle of Man TT races have faced delays in their start date due to unpredictable weather conditions during the qualifying week. Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson announced that Sunday’s session will be utilized to allow participants to complete additional qualifying laps. This decision was made after Saturday’s session, where Davey Todd secured the fastest lap of the week, was cut short due to low cloud cover on the mountain and rainfall across the circuit. Consequently, the Superbike TT race scheduled for Sunday has been postponed, with a revised race timetable for Monday expected to be announced soon.

Following the rescheduling of Saturday’s initial races to Monday to provide competitors with more practice time on the course, further adjustments have been made to the race schedule. The roads encompassing the 37.7-mile (61km) course are set to close on the mountain at 11:30 BST on Sunday, with the lower section shutting down at 12:30. The revised race schedule for Sunday includes the Superbike and Superstock at 13:30, Sidecar at 14:15, Supersport and Supertwin at 15:00, Superbike and Superstock at 15:45, Sidecar at 16:15, and Supersport and Supertwin at 16:45. The roads are anticipated to reopen by 18:30.
