Renowned DJ Louie Vega is gearing up to auction off a plethora of personal belongings through music platform Wax Poetics later this month. This collection, which is the second installment following a previous auction in April, will include various items such as test pressings and music gear accumulated over Vega’s illustrious 40-year career. Interested bidders can register now for the live launch on May 27 to get a chance at owning a piece of music history.
One of the standout pieces up for auction is a custom Louie Vega Diamond Pendant, crafted from 14K white gold and adorned with 290 natural black and white diamonds. This exclusive piece, signed by Vega himself, is estimated to be valued at approximately $8,500. Additionally, items like an Allen & Heath Xone V6 Mixer that Vega used during his global tours and a Roland FP-8 keyboard featured in some of his iconic tracks, such as ‘Beautiful People’, will be available for bidding.
Alongside these unique items, the collection also boasts test pressings, promo records, and 50 original studio artworks. Vega expressed his sentiment towards these items, stating that they have been an integral part of his creative journey and have accompanied him around the world.
