Cardiff: Hospital worker guilty of sex offences against children

Two individuals, Tracy Turner and Stuart Compton, have recently admitted to charges related to sex offences against children. Tracy Turner, a 51-year-old operating theatre assistant from Roath, Cardiff, confessed to arranging the commission of six child sex offences and making two indecent images of a child at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. Similarly, Stuart Compton, a 45-year-old from Cathays, Cardiff, also pleaded guilty to six charges of arranging child sex offences.

Interestingly, both defendants were initially charged with conspiracy to murder, but these charges have been dropped according to the prosecution’s statement in court. However, Turner and Compton did not plead guilty to additional conspiracy charges including conspiring to rape a girl, conspiring to sexually assault, and kidnap, which will now be placed on file.

As the legal proceedings unfold, it was decided that both defendants would remain in custody until their sentencing on 28 July. Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke made it clear that a custodial sentence was inevitable for the pair. The serious nature of the charges and admissions by Turner and Compton highlight the gravity of the situation surrounding their criminal actions.
