The investigation into a fire at the house of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in north London, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, involves counter-terrorism police. The Metropolitan Police reported damage to the property’s entrance, although there were no injuries. A cordon has been set up outside the house in Kentish Town, where the incident took place.

Despite the fire at his personal property, Sir Keir Starmer, who resides at his official residence in Downing Street, thanked the emergency services for their prompt response. An official spokesperson for the Prime Minister stated that the situation is currently under investigation, preventing them from providing any further details. When questioned about the presence of any family members at the property during the fire, they declined to comment.

The London Fire Brigade disclosed that they received a call about a “small fire” at 01:11 BST and managed to contain it within 20 minutes. Kentish Town Fire Station dispatched two fire engines to the scene, with approximately 10 firefighters responding to the incident. As the investigation unfolds, the police have maintained cordons in place around the property.

In the aftermath of the fire at Sir Keir Starmer’s house, both police and fire investigators were observed at the scene on Monday. At one point, a section of the street was closed off to vehicles.
