Josie Walker, known for her roles in the West End in productions like Matilda The Musical and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, won the best supporting female comedy performance for Looking For Alaska.
Walker, who played Lisa Hertz in the acclaimed BBC One’s adaptation of John Green’s 2005 novel, thanked her two children and husband, and the seven years of lessons her son has taken “to get to this moment”.

The Choir: Breaking Ground picked up the prize for best entertainment, with its presenter Gareth Malone said its win was particularly special for him after “a very tough year” for the creative industries.
Accepting the award alongside The Choir’s executive producer JB Gill, the former JLS singer, Malone said: “This is an amazing honour. It’s been such a difficult year and to have our show recognised and have our team recognised means everything. Here’s to keeping the arts alive for our children and our children’s children. “Thank you so much.”
