The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, also known as Prince William and Princess Catherine, are spending their final day on the Isle of Mull, engaging with local children and families during an outdoor learning session with forest rangers. This visit comes as they celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary, which coincided with the start of their official trip to the island off the west coast of Scotland. As they arrived at Tobermory, they were met with enthusiastic cheers from over 200 tourists and residents lining the main street.

Emphasizing the importance of nature in their lives, the royal couple dedicated their last day on the island to exploring the natural world, an element Catherine has described as her family’s “sanctuary.” The Royal Foundation’s Community Impact Programme is playing a role in safeguarding two nature warden positions on Mull and neighboring Iona. They joined a group of children for various activities in Ardura Community Forest, including nature trails, den building, and animal tracking.

Following the forest visit, Prince William and Princess Catherine plan to spend some private time on Iona after taking the public ferry from Mull. The visit aims to showcase the significance of protecting and advocating for the natural environment. Showing their appreciation for the milestone, the couple shared a romantic photo on their social media accounts to commemorate their wedding anniversary.
