US Drug Enforcement officers detain over 200 people following raid on unlicensed nightclub in Colorado

In Colorado yesterday, United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agents conducted a raid on an unlicensed nightclub, detaining “over 200 people.” The operation in Colorado Springs involved approximately 10 federal agencies working alongside local police, using drones, helicopters, and an armoured vehicle. The venue, described as an “underground nightclub,” was reportedly filled with over 300 individuals, 114 of whom were undocumented migrants detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

The DEA seized drugs and weapons from the nightclub, with Attorney General Pamela Bondi stating that it was frequented by Tda and MS-13 terrorists. According to ABC News, authorities also found evidence suggesting prostitution and possible human trafficking at the establishment. Officials mentioned that active servicemen from the nearby Fort Carson military base were found at the venue, but details about potential arrests or charges have not been confirmed by the US Army.

Property owner Mike Moon expressed shock, claiming he had no knowledge of the illegal activities occurring at the venue. He mentioned that the space was initially intended as an events center with a stage and bar, but it lacked an alcohol license before the raid. Moon added that given the current political climate, he was surprised that such illicit activities were taking place at his property
