£9.99DJ Phats has announced the upcoming release of his latest album, ‘I’m Back,’ which will be available through Phats Music Box on June 6. This new LP showcases the Chicago artist’s talent with 12 tracks of steamy ghetto house, juke, and footwork tunes. The album even includes a bonus remix from the late DJ Deeon, adding to the excitement of the tracklist.
Fans can expect to hear new versions of some of DJ Phats’ classic tracks, such as ‘I Wanna Slut,’ originally released under Dance Mania back in 1998. With a musical career dating back to the ’90s, DJ Phats has delivered music across various labels like Dance Mania, Afrocuts, and Sugar Daddy Records, collaborating with DJ Skip along the way.
The album release coincides with 30 years of celebrations for ghetto house, with DJ Phats performing at notable events like Dance Mania and Viva Acid’s anniversary celebration in Chicago. This event brought together a lineup of esteemed artists including DJ Slugo, DJ Clent, DJ Milton, Traxman, and Jana Rush. Additionally, DJ Phats teamed up with DJ Slugo and DJ Thadz on the ‘Dance Mania Legends’ EP in 2023.
