‘This is important’: on the ground with Liverpool fans at Anfield

It’s difficult to describe the noise at Anfield as the players walked out, loud does not do it justice. The sign hanging from The Kop saying “This is Anfield” is always a piece of football folklore, but the banners draped over it today read “Premier League Champions”.
The majority of Liverpool fans will not remember the last time their club won the title, let alone the 18 they won before that. In a city that only breathes because of football, this will always be a special day.
