Two charged after body of missing Cardiff woman Paria Veisi found

Following the launch of a murder investigation, detectives have located the body of a missing 37-year-old woman. Paria Veisi, a resident of Cathays, Cardiff, was last seen on April 12 at 3:00 PM BST as she drove away from her workplace in a black Mercedes GLC 200. Two individuals, a man from Penylan, Cardiff, and a woman from White City Estate, London, have been arrested and charged in connection with the case. Both suspects made an appearance at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and are currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.

The body of Ms. Veisi was recovered at a residence in Penylan, according to the police. The 41-year-old man from Penylan is facing charges of murder, obstructing the lawful burial of a deceased body, and causing bodily harm to another individual. The 48-year-old woman residing on Australia Road, White City Estate, London, has been charged with impeding a lawful burial and conspiring to pervert the course of justice. Det Ch Insp Matt Powell, the Senior Investigating Officer, expressed his condolences, stating, “This brings our search for Paria to a sad and tragic end. Paria’s family, all those who knew her, and those in her local community, will be deeply saddened and shocked by these latest developments.”

Furthermore, Det Ch Insp Powell mentioned that authorities would be conducting investigations in the Penylan area for the upcoming week. The suspects are scheduled to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on April 22 for further legal proceedings.
