A murder investigation has been launched by police in search of a 37-year-old woman who has not been seen since 12 April. Paria Veisi, a resident of Cathays in Cardiff, was last spotted at 15:00 BST on Saturday, driving a black Mercedes GLC 200 after leaving her workplace. Two individuals, a 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both familiar with Ms Veisi, were arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.
The Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, expressed uncertainty regarding the status of Paria, stating that there is no evidence to suggest she is still alive. With the two suspects in custody, no additional persons are being pursued in connection with the case. The investigation’s primary focus centers around Paria’s movements subsequent to leaving work in Canton, Cardiff. It was reported that Ms Veisi’s vehicle was discovered on 15 April at Dorchester Avenue in the Penylan area.
The public has been urged to provide any information that could aid in the investigation by contacting South Wales Police’s Major Crime Team. Descriptions of Ms Veisi were shared, noting her distinctive long, curly, black hair and attire at the time of her disappearance, including a black zip-up gym top over a red top, black trousers, and trainers while carrying a small handbag.
