Posthumous 19-track Avicii album set for release next month, ‘AVICII FOREVER’

A posthumous album featuring 19 tracks from the late Avicii is set to be released soon. Titled ‘AVICII FOREVER,’ this album was announced today, April 16, following some criticism of the artist’s previous posthumous work by Sandro Cavazza, a frequent collaborator. Scheduled for release on May 16 under Interscope Records and Pophouse, the album is said to include a collection of essential tracks from Avicii’s previous works, as well as new music.

Pophouse Entertainment and the Avicii Estate jointly announced ‘AVICII FOREVER’ alongside a new single titled ‘Let’s Ride Away,’ featuring the talented US singer-songwriter Elle King. Sandro Cavazza previously raised concerns about the release of the posthumous track ‘Forever Yours – Tim’s 2016 Ibiza Version,’ where he was featured on vocals. He questioned the ethics of releasing music after an artist’s passing and expressed his reservations online regarding the single’s release.

Despite being approached multiple times by both the family and Pinguettes recordings to release unreleased material that he had worked on with Avicii, Cavazza consistently declined. He stated that he did not want to release any songs without Avicii being present, as only Avicii knew when his songs were complete, and Cavazza respected that decision. For Cavazza, the integrity of Avicii’s work was paramount, and he wanted to ensure that the music was released with the late artist’s involvement
