Lizzie Dibble, the mastermind behind this clothes lending project, envisions it as a way to breathe new life into the UK’s struggling libraries while also introducing readers to the allure of secondhand fashion.
Dibble founded With Love From … in 2023, initially as a way to exchange clothes with friends and family. The project gained traction over time, leading to the organization of sewing workshops, sustainability talks, and a repair service. Thanks to the support of volunteers and funding from a crowdfunding campaign and Shropshire council, the shared wardrobe recently found its new home at Oswestry library, where it is now a bustling hub of activity.

While rental apps have gained popularity, this library initiative stands out for its personal touch and emphasis on the stories behind preloved clothing. The project not only reduces waste but also fosters a deeper appreciation for garments and their history.
Although the current selection leans towards womenswear, Dibble is keen on expanding to cater to various demographics and occasions, including workwear for those with limited financial resources
