Liverpool City Council recently completed a competitive tender process to select a new nursing care provider for Millvina nursing home in Anfield and Brushwood nursing home in Speke. Liverpool City Council affirms its commitment to prioritizing the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents, families, and staff, ensuring no disruption to care services during the transition to the new provider.
The engagement with care home residents and staff has already commenced and will persist throughout the standstill period and beyond to ensure everyone is fully informed and supported. Cllr Angela Coleman, Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services, emphasized the importance of ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care and support throughout the transition. Likewise, Corporate Director for Adult Social Care, Health, and Homelessness, Anne Marie Lubanski, highlighted the commitment to working together to ensure optimal care both now and in the future, offering sincere gratitude to all organizations that applied to support the residents’ care, particularly acknowledging Mersey Care’s dedication and compassion in assisting Millvina and Brushwood
