A recent BBC investigation has uncovered the identities of two women involved in a Russian spy network operated from the UK, revealing their names for the first time. Bulgarian nationals Cvetelina Gencheva and Tsvetanka Doncheva played roles in conducting extensive surveillance operations against individuals targeted by the cell. When contacted by the BBC, neither woman responded to inquiries; Gencheva hung up when contacted by phone, while Doncheva denied being herself and walked away when approached near her home in Vienna, Austria. Currently, six other Bulgarians await sentencing in London for their involvement in spying for Russia as part of this network.
