Acclaimed markets return to Liverpool for 2025

Liverpool is gearing up for the return of the Stanley Park Market for its second year running, starting later this month. The market will kick off on Wednesday, March 19th, and will be open weekly from 9am to 3pm until mid-December. Following closely behind is the spring edition of the St George’s Hall Artisan Market, which will take place four days later. Last year, Stanley Park Market saw significant growth, doubling in size from its original 50 stalls.

The success of Stanley Park Market was recognized at this year’s Great British Market Awards, where it was awarded the title of Best Community Market. The market will operate every Wednesday, except when there are evening football matches or concerts at Goodison Park or Anfield Stadium. Each week, visitors can explore up to 100 stalls offering a variety of items, including fresh local produce, clothing, homeware, toys, and more. There will also be numerous hot food and drink stalls with ample seating available.

Throughout the year, Stanley Park Market will provide a platform for various community groups and local organizations to promote health and wellbeing initiatives. Last year, Everton in the Community and social care programs were among those featured. Additionally, on Sunday, March 23rd, the artisan market at St George’s Hall will make a return. This free market, held between 10am and 4.30pm, will showcase nearly 70 stalls offering homemade jewelry, artwork, artisan chocolate, specialist drinks, as well as hot street food vendors and live music performances.

Liverpool boasts a vibrant market scene, including the beloved Great Homer Street Market (Greatie Market) and a range of farmers and craft markets.
