A young man named Hassan Sentamu has been sentenced to spend at least 23 years in prison for the murder of 15-year-old Elianne Andam. The tragic incident occurred outside a shopping center in Croydon, south London in September 2023. Sentamu, who was 17 at the time of the attack, used a kitchen knife to repeatedly stab Elianne in a confrontation over a teddy bear.
During the sentencing at the Old Bailey, Mrs. Justice Cheema-Grubb emphasized the immeasurable pain felt by Elianne’s family due to her untimely death.
