Residents in the vicinity have been deeply unsettled by the incident. Patricia, a long-time resident of Stockwell, expressed her concerns, stating, “The situation is really bad now. I don’t go out anymore. In the night, I don’t feel safe. I feel so bad for the boy. It’s too much for me.” Florence Eshalomi, the Labour (Co-op) MP for Vauxhall and Camberwell Green, emphasized the importance of community safety, emphasizing the need for a visible police presence to reassure the public within Stockwell.

Eshalomi also highlighted the gravity of the situation, stating, “We will not tolerate this level of violence in Stockwell, Vauxhall, or Camberwell Green, or anywhere across London.
