Wrexham: Man charged with murder of Craig Richardson

In a tragic incident, a 37-year-old man lost his life, and a 30-year-old individual has been charged with his murder. Thomas Iveson, a resident of the Plas Madoc area, made an appearance at Mold Crown Court via video link from custody on Friday. The victim, Craig Richardson, passed away at his residence in Acrefair, Wrexham on 23 February. The case involving Mr. Iveson has been adjourned, and he is scheduled to appear for a pre-trial preparation at the same court on 23 May.

During the court proceedings, Judge Rhys Rowlands informed Mr. Iveson that the trial would commence on 20 October and could potentially last up to three weeks. The authorities were alerted to the situation at the residence just before 12:30 GMT following concerns for Mr. Richardson’s safety. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was tragically pronounced dead. Another individual, a 32-year-old from Wrexham, who was also taken into custody, has since been released on bail as investigations into the matter continue.

In the wake of this devastating loss, Mr. Richardson’s family issued a heartfelt tribute to him, describing him as a cherished son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, partner, and friend to many. They fondly remembered him as someone with a generous heart, always willing to help others, and brimming with a lively spirit.
