The news of her death was revealed at Southampton Crown Court where she was scheduled to appear for a plea hearing. The prosecutor informed the judge that Ms. Wilson, a 37-year-old who identified as a woman despite being born male, was no longer alive. Her death was recorded on 14 February, with the provisional cause cited as hanging, as confirmed by a spokeswoman from the Hampshire Coroner’s Office.
Ms. Wilson, a resident of April Square in Portsmouth, was slated to answer charges related to the rape of a girl under 13 and causing a five-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity. The alleged incidents occurred in Hull in 2011. Additionally, she faced accusations of sexually assaulting a three-year-old boy and causing another three-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity in incidents reported in Southampton in 2017 and 2020. With her passing, the court announced the charges against her would be formally dropped.
Her death was registered at the Portsmouth Coroner’s Court, noting that she passed away in Southsea just two days after her appearance at Southampton Magistrates’ Court. A full inquest into her death has been scheduled for January 20, 2026.
