Warrington: Suspected XL bullies killed after man, 84, attacked

Armed police were forced to euthanize two dogs believed to be XL bullies following an attack on an elderly man at a residence. The 84-year-old victim sustained serious injuries during the incident that took place at Bardsley Avenue, Warrington, around 6:00 PM GMT on Monday, according to a statement from Cheshire Police. Subsequently, a 29-year-old woman was apprehended on suspicion of owning a dog that was dangerously out of control and caused significant harm.

The injured individual was promptly transported to Aintree hospital for medical treatment, confirmed a police spokesperson. In addition, a third, smaller dog was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities are currently conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attack and the ownership of the dogs involved.
