A young woman’s disappearance has prompted a focused search effort on running trails she frequents, according to the police. Jenny Hall, 23, was last seen departing her residence at Barracks Farm in Tow Law, County Durham, on Tuesday, shortly after 3:00 PM GMT. Ch Insp Dean Haythornthwaite of Durham Police stated, “We are concentrating our search efforts on areas that Ms. Hall is known to run through, and we are committed to utilizing all available resources to locate her.” Following two days of scouring the moorland, searches have now shifted to the routes between Eggleston and Hamsterley.
Despite examining her mobile phone, smartwatch, and running apps, digital intelligence officers have not uncovered any leads, the police reported. Described as a 6ft tall long-distance runner with dark hair, Ms. Hall was last seen wearing a blue hoodie with a John Deere logo and dark jogging bottoms, with a possible green jacket and ponytail.
Teams comprising police, sniffer dogs, and mountain rescue units are tirelessly combing the area, supported by aerial assistance, despite facing “challenging” weather conditions. Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team expressed gratitude for offers of assistance from the public but discouraged individuals from intervening to avoid impeding the coordinated search efforts
