Birmingham driver rammed cyclist to teach him wheelies lesson

The tragic death of 22-year-old cyclist Liam Jones was the result of a deliberate act by driver Abdirahman Ibrahim in Birmingham. Ibrahim, 21, intentionally rammed into Mr. Jones twice with his car after witnessing him perform a wheelie on his e-bike in Sheldon. The incident led to Mr. Jones crashing into a bollard and losing his life at the scene, according to West Midlands Police.

Following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court, Abdirahman Ibrahim was found guilty of the murder of Liam Jones. The defendant is scheduled to be sentenced on 26 March for his actions on that fateful night. It was revealed by the police that Ibrahim’s brother, Abdullahi, was present in the car as a passenger during the fatal crash. Abdullahi Ibrahim, 21, of Lewisham, London, has also pleaded guilty to assisting an offender and will be sentenced alongside his brother.
