SXSW London recently announced the initial lineup of speakers and performers for its inaugural European event. Taking place in various venues around Shoreditch, East London, from June 2 to 7, the festival will feature a diverse range of activities including talks, screenings, exhibitions, tech showcases, and music performances. Among the first wave of performers announced is musician Tems, with music partners like BBC Asian Network, Dankie Sounds, Seoul Community Radio, and HÖR Berlin curating stages.
One of the highlights of the event is the pop-up concept called ‘Studio Four’ at Abbey Road Studios. Described as a mixture of live music, conversations, and immersive experiences exploring tech, music, and creativity. The lineup of headline speakers features well-known names in the music industry such as Idris Elba, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Wyclef Jean, along with a diverse array of industry leaders, disruptors, and creative pioneers from various fields.
Passes for the event are currently on sale, with various options available ranging from £650 to £1,300 (+VAT). The premium Platinum Pass offers exclusive benefits like access to networking sessions, a lounge, and the full program of events, while other passes provide access to specific segments of the festival. More artists and speakers are set to be announced in the coming weeks, promising a unique celebration of global creativity that SXSW London aims to bring to Europe.
SXSW London is part of the South by Southwest conference and festival series, which originated in Austin, Texas, in 1987. It follows the successful launch of SXSW Sydney in 2023 and is produced by Panarise, a live entertainment company owned by private equity investment company Panarae.
