Ticketmaster has cancelled the tickets of several fans of the Manchester band, Oasis, for their reunion tour, accusing them of being bots. Oasis fans have expressed their disappointment on social media for being accused of breaking regulations when purchasing their tickets. Oasis Live ’25 is set to start on the 4th of July. Ticketmaster sent numerous emails to those whose tickets have been cancelled and informed them that their purchase had broken rules on ticket reselling.
Some fans who received the email reported being devastated. 24-year-old Leighah Conroy from Cumbria, said that her dream of seeing the band had been crushed. She claimed that the tickets were purchased in August and that an email from Ticketmaster had identified bots as being used to acquire tickets.
Ticketmaster has responded by saying that there is a form available for anyone who believes their tickets have been wrongly cancelled.
Marta Bonnet, a fan from Spain who allegedly spent more than £3,000 on tickets to see Oasis at Wembley on 3rd August, said she was shocked and angry when she received the same email as others who had their tickets cancelled. Ms Bonnet spent almost five hours trying to resolve the problem and informed the BBC that she would avoid purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster in the future.
Ticketmaster assured affected fans that they could fill a form for the tour’s promoters to review any wrongful repayments. Some fans lamented on social media about having lost their chance to see Oasis perform live for the first time
