London is soon to welcome a brand new series of festivals. Promoter Labyrinth has announced that it is set to bring a series of open-air events to the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich under the name Labyrinth on the Thames. The festival series will be held on the first two weekends of August and is pleased to be able to welcome up to 60,000 festival-goers over the six-day series.
The future festival series is set to be the premier event held at the historical site. The events’ organizers have promised an excellent display of world-class contemporary electronic music, with headlining acts included for each weekend long event. According to a press release, each event will begin in the afternoon and finish at 11:00 pm. The performances will allow festival-goers to dance along as the sun sets over the Thames.
Labyrinth on the Thames producers have confirmed that Black Coffee, a Grammy-award-winning DJ and producer from South Africa, is the headliner for the first event of the new festival series. The DJ and producer will be the first artist of the kind to perform as a headlining act at the Old Royal Naval College. The festival series production will be brought to life by High Scream, the production company known for creating the production on the Paris 2025 Olympic closing ceremony, Coachella Festival, and Black Coffee’s residency at Hi Ibiza.
Labyrinth co-founders Michael Dicks and Nick Castleman have released a statement on how thrilled the team is to be able to host the new festival series, having spent several years working to make it all possible. Transmitting their excitement, the founders noted that the idea behind Labyrinth on the Thames is to keep providing artists and fans fresh and fascinating festival experiences. They concluded that the team hoped to see everybody on the edge of the river Thames this summer and were hugely appreciative of their collaboration with the Old Royal Naval College Director of Public Engagement and Commercial, who said that the unique event would be a wonderful celebration of music, art, and culture in Greenwich.
