German producer DJ Koze is set to release his long-awaited album ‘Music Can Hear Us’ on April 4th via his own label, Pampa Records. The album will consist of 15 tracks, including a variety of collaborations with artists such as Soap&Skin, Sophia Kennedy, The Notwist’s Markus Acher and J-pop band Marewrew, among others. It’s the first time he’s released an album in seven years, and to give listeners a taste of what’s to come, he has released the single ‘Unbelievable’ featuring Ada on vocals.
Koze has described the upcoming LP as his most potent legal drug and says “it is an infinite space where familiar logic no longer applies, where nothing is as it seems”. The moody music video for ‘Unbelievable’ features various shots of long dark roads, trees on fire, and fairground lights at night. Ada and a masked Koze are also seen in the video. The track combines progressive house with delicate percussion and mesmerizing bass.
In December 2020, Koze released the album’s lead single ‘Pure Love’ which features Gorillaz and Blur frontman Damon Albarn. He is also excited about his latest release, describing it as “a cosmic synapse rodeo.” It seems that the famous German producer is not just known for his music, but also for his ‘imagery and art representationalism,’ as he likes to call his work.
Fans can anticipate the arrival of the new album in April, as it’s set to be another Koze masterpiece. Koze is proving to be a fairy godfather of imaginative beats and moods, always providing his listeners with lively and surreal sound pleasures. His music and style are continuously evolving and surprising listeners worldwide with each new release
