Yetsuby, one half of the Seoul duo Salamanda, has released a new 10-track album called ‘4EVA’ on the new UK-based Pink Oyster label. The album covers a range of music genres including breaks, footwork, club, and IDM with digital, analog, and acoustic sounds. Using ambient and downtempo stylings, ‘4EVA’ takes a look at the connection between people and music and how it serves as a transformative power.
Described as Yetsuby’s most accomplished work to date, Pink Oyster called the new album “incredible” from the scene’s “most talented new producers.” The album’s upbeat club cuts demonstrate a maximalist approach that still offers a nod to Yetsuby’s roots. The album’s title itself comes from a childhood drawing of the artist’s sister, who described her sibling as a “brain-full human.”
Pink Oyster is a new record label that is a home for left-field electronic sound. The new album ‘4EVA’ is the first release on the label from Goodchild Promotions and Métreon Records. The album’s first single ‘Aestheti-Q’ is already out, and ‘4EVA’ is scheduled for release on March 26, 2021.
A genre that cannot be described by one genre dominated Yetsuby’s thoughts while creating the album. She openly took the opinions of many underground musicians during the album creation process that resulted in catchy melodies and harmonies, which are characteristic of “Yetsuby.” The album’s artwork and tracklist, which includes the following 10 songs, is already out.
