Axel Rudakubana, the Southport killer, has been jailed for at least 52 years for brutally attacking a dance class themed after Taylor Swift with a knife. The young man, now 18, was sentenced to life in prison and faces the possibility of parole only if the Parole Board determines he no longer poses a risk to the public. The 12-minute rampage resulted in the deaths of three young girls and left eight people injured, including the attempted murder of eight children and two adults who had tried to intervene. Many of the victims were stabbed dozens of times, with such force that their bones were broken.
