Noel Gallagher has announced his collaboration with the Manchester-based group Mantra of the Cosmos ahead of his planned return to the stage with Oasis later in the year. The group features Happy Mondays members Shaun Ryder and Bez, alongside two other Oasis alumni, Zak Starkey and Andy Bell. Gallagher will feature on the group’s latest single ‘Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous).’ The song will be launched exclusively on vinyl and sold only in Liverpool’s iconic Cavern Club, where the band will perform on the day of the release.

Gallagher praised the band, stating that its members are “like Dylan, Dalí, and Ginsberg on a rocketship to the moon to have it with the Clangers.”

Bell played bass guitars for Oasis between 1999 and 2009 and later joined Liam Gallagher’s band, Beady Eye. Ryder, the Happy Mondays’ vocalist and lyricist, sings the verses of ‘Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous),’ while Gallagher features on the chorus, playing a significant role in the song’s creation.
The new single has been described by Starkey as sounding like “Free Bird, for mods,” adding that Gallagher referred to Ryder as the “king of lyrics.” Gallagher spoke highly of the Happy Mondays’ members, whom he trusts will effortlessly blend with the Oasis sound once the band reunites.
