Lady Gaga announces seventh studio album ‘MAYHEM’

Lady Gaga has announced the release date for her forthcoming seventh album, ‘MAYHEM’. The highly-anticipated project, which is set to launch under Interscope Records, will be available from March 7. Gaga has teaser her new material regularly since last year. ‘Disease’ was the first single to debut in October 2019, after which she launched a Bruno Mars-assisted chart smash titled ‘Die With A Smile’ in August.

The latest single from ‘MAYHEM’ will be released during the upcoming Grammy Awards event, followed by an accompanying music video. ‘LG7,’ as it was titled during the creation stage, is yet to be revealed.

Gaga mentioned that the project started as a way for her to face the fear of releasing pop music, which was primarily loved by her core fanbase. The album creation process was described as assembling a shattered mirror, putting together pieces in a way that resulted in new and beautiful artwork.

The album features 14 tracks, of which the titles for all except the singles are being kept under wraps. The 13-time Grammy winner, however, hinted at the tracklist through a graphic shared on her Instagram story on Monday. The album was produced by Gaga in collaboration with Andrew Watts, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein. The latter was referenced by Gaga last December, alongside other DJs playing a part in the project.

Referring to this new music project, Gaga said that she loved experimenting with industrial and various strains of electronic music. Her constant evolution since the start of her career has been a significant part of her life and work, refusing to stick to any specific style for long.
