The prize also helps raise the profile of the artists, with their work displayed in Paul Smith’s flagship stores and featured in a short film by art cinematographer Mae Sass. This year’s theme was “Finding Inspiration Everywhere” and aims to support young artists in developing their professional skills and growing their audience locally and internationally. The competition also helps boost the confidence of emerging artists, as they gain recognition and begin to call themselves artists.
