Stanley Park Market has been awarded the title of Best Community Market at this year’s Great British Market Awards, organized by the National Association of British Markets (NABMA). Taking into consideration the role that markets play in shaping community life, the award ceremony acknowledged the efforts of market employees and traders. The Stanley Park Market was applauded for maintaining the essence of the local area and exhibiting constant support for the traders.

The market has also been praised by local businesses for boosting the number of visitors on market days.
In addition, since winning the award for Best Community Market, Stanley Park Market has hosted several events for the community, such as events by Everton in the Community for youth. The market returns on March 20th and operates every Wednesday from 9 am to 3 pm. Councillor Harry Doyle, the cabinet member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, offered congratulations to the team behind the market for their win at this year’s awards.
The win serves as a reminder that working in collaboration with the community and making an effort to listen to the local residents’ feedback is the key to success in such endeavors.
