A South London-based nightclub known as Gaffe is preparing to open its doors this weekend. This 150-capacity nightclub obtained its license following a council application in Lambeth. This promising new space aims to be a community hub for local residents of Wandsworth Road and surrounding areas.
The owners of Gaffe plan to primarily host music events during the weekend. However, the club will also hold regular events during weekdays, aimed at hosting photography sessions, creative meetups, yoga classes, and DJ workshops. It promises to have a diverse array of events for people to enjoy.
This new venue is fitted with a state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound system, which is immersive and captivating. It promises to be one of the best new venues in all of London. The launch weekend of this new venture is taking place this Saturday. The opening night is going to include DJ sets from Hodge, Danielle, and Parris, and will be known as Gaffe Presents.
Gaffe’s original temporary license was granted in 2024 but was subsequently denied on the basis of concerns from local residents. These concerns included the broken glass left outside following events and noise. However, following subsequent discussions, the license was granted once again to the club, operational until 3:20AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
“We’re ecstatic that we have finally secured our permanent license. This cements our place in the grassroots electronica and wider artistic community of South London,” says Gaffe’s spokesperson to Mixmag. Since the venue launched last year, the venue has hosted many well-known DJs, including KT, Bobby, and Ted Amber. For more information and tickets, check out their official website
